MICHELLE N., ABCDT
Michelle N. is the founder, owner and creative force behind Bark-A-Bout Pet Resort and is proud to provide a pet care service that has been recognized as a leader in its industry. For over 15 years, Michelle has implemented her vision to make Bark-A-Bout your pets’ home away from home.
Michelle truly embodies Bark-A-Bout’s mission: “To provide the highest quality pet care in a safe, nurturing environment that exceeds pet industry standards, ensuring all staff are trained and certified, while upholding core company values in a passionate and professional manner”. With over 20 years of leadership experience, Michelle truly takes responsibility for the safety, development and knowledge offered to Bark-A-Bout’s most important assets – it’s customers and their pets.
Prior to opening Bark-A-Bout Pet Resort, Michelle gained experience in business and customer relations while running her own interior design business for 9 years. As an Interior Designer turned Pet Resort owner, Michelle has developed a unique perspective when it comes to understanding canine communication and how it relates to the umwelt (environment) of the pets at Bark-A-Bout. This unique perspective and passion for animal communication and off-leash play continues to evolve as she contributes to the off-leash industry and by collaborating with industry experts across the United States. Receiving several industry certifications, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge to further advance the experience of pets, their owners, and the employees of Bark-A-Bout.
Michelle continues to volunteer her time with several animal rescue organizations, attend and host fundraisers for pets and families in need; along with train and host seminars to help the rehabilitation and well-being of all pets. It’s through this never-ending devotion that enables Bark-A-Bout to succeed as a valuable part of the community.
As a true Michigander in every way, if Michelle’s not at work, you can find her playing with the dogs, gardening, decorating or enjoying family time.
