How Dog Boarding Works at Bark-A-Bout

We want your dog’s boarding experience to feel simple for you and comfortable for them. Here’s what to expect when planning a stay at Bark-A-Bout’s luxury pet resort.

1. Meet & Greet Assessment

Before your dog’s first boarding stay, they’ll complete a meet & greet assessment. This is a temperament evaluation to ensure your pup is a good fit for the group play environment. It also helps us get to know your dog and learn more about their personality.

2. Reserve Your Suite

Once your pup has completed the required meet & greet, choose the hotel accommodation that fits their needs and reserve their stay through our customer portal.

Be prepared to provide important information about your dog, including current vaccination records and details about their food or medications.

3. Drop-Off and Pick-Up

We offer designated hotel check-in and check-out times to help every guest transition smoothly into their stay. Our team will properly welcome your dog, help them settle in, and introduce them to daily activities with full staff support.

Drop-Off

  • Monday–Saturday: 12:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

Pick-Up

  • Monday–Saturday: 6:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. *
  • Sunday: 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

Check-in or check-out outside the designated hours incurs an extended stay fee of $20 for the first pet and $10 for each additional pet, excluding Sundays. After-hours late pick-up may be available for up to 30 minutes after closing. Applicable fees vary.

4. Pick-Up and Report

When it’s time to head home, pick your pup up during your scheduled window. Our team can help make the transition from their Bark-A-Bout stay back home as smooth as possible.

Took my 1 year old wild child Lab Blanco to bark a bout for the first time a couple months ago so he could get some extra exercise and socializing time during the winter. He absolutely loves going he can barely contain his excitement every time we pull up.

The staff is always so wonderful and super friendly. I can tell they give my lover boy all the love and attention. I like that they give a report card and that i can peak on the camera and make sure he’s behaving.

Blanco goes once or twice a week and is always exhausted when he gets home. He loves it so much hes going for his first hotel stay in a couple weeks!

Thank you for always taking such good care of my boy! ♥️

We dropped our Yorkie off for a play date with other dogs, wasn’t sure how she’d do. We watched on their webcams. At the end of her visit she got a report card with very good marks. I highly recommended Bark About Their staff is wonderful and it’s clean

Had a meet and greet for Ryder (Brittany) yesterday. We were a little worried because he can be quite a handful, but I really enjoyed the live camera feeds. I was able to check in on him from time to time and you could tell he was having a great time and was really happy.
From what I saw, the trainers and handlers are very hands-on. Towards the end of his meet and greet, I got a report card for Ryder, which was very detailed! I really appreciated the report card and how in-depth it was and even included pictures of his day! Ryder was so exhausted when we got home! Needless to say, we were very pleased with our experience, and are looking forward to his next daycare, and using the hotel services in the future.
I just want to say I LOVE Bark-A-Bout. And I feel like a walking billboard for anyone that ever asks where my dog goes but I’m serious. They have the patience for my dogs sassy attitude and the confidence they have built in her is just amazing. I watch her on the cameras and to see her coming out of her shell and playing with all her doggy friends at daycare is just great when a few months ago I think she would have rather of been alone at home. The staff is amazing and so friendly, she gets so excited when we pull in the parking lot she pulls me all the way to the door and doesn’t look back when they take her leash. Plus now with the enrichment daycare she is in she is getting more small group attention that she needs and learning new stuff!!! I have only boarded her once and I was very impressed to the details they required when I dropped off. You can really tell they all really care and I think that’s the most important thing!

We love sending our dog to Bark About nearly as much as she loves being there. You can't put a price on the peace of mind knowing your dog is safe and well cared for when you can't be with her.

We use Bark-A-Bout for daycare a few times a week and when we need to board our dog. It’s a little pricey compared to a few other places we’ve been to, but the location is convenient, facility is clean, and everyone that works there is helpful and friendly. It’s obvious to us that they love the animals because our girl is always super excited when we take her. We’re also happy that we can watch her play on their outdoor cameras and let her participate in their dog enrichment activities. We would recommend them to anyone looking for daycare or boarding.

Dropped in only the use pool rental for 30 minutes, excellent value for an indoor pool and very easy process.

I would warn you (as they did before we arrived) that a dog who is only used to nature swimming may have difficulty in the pool and using the stairs. Tool some time for him to understand the process. Wish the stairs in the pool were a little larger.

Also I didn't believe them when they said bring a change of clothes. It is a lot different with being in an enclosed space versus nature. You will get a lot more wet.

Really enjoyed our experience, and so did our 10 year old Labrador.

I booked a private pool rental for one hour. It cost $30. Or they do $15 for 15 minutes. They don’t supply you with towels, lifevest, or any toys to play with so you must bring your own. the pool is heated and indoors! Buddy was really scared at first until i showed him there are steps for him to walk into the pool. Overall though my dog had a lot of fun. this was our first time here and we will be back.

I signed my 7month old Pomeranian up for a 1 hour private swim class. I was extremely excited to get started, but unfortunately the excitement can to a halt once the actual lesson got started. The dog swim trainer was very rude and her instructions were not clear. If I didn’t do what she had asked due to the lack of understanding she’d simply repeat the original instruction which I would once again, not understand. Furthermore, she is not personable and didn’t make it an enjoyable experience whatsoever. My Pomeranian is my baby and about half way through our lesson I had to call it quits as I no longer felt comfortable with her around my fur baby. However, I will say that the receptionist are very friendly and I did receive a call from a manager within two hours after my appointment which I greatly appreciated. Also, the facility itself is extremely clean and well kept and it seemed like they take amazing care of the dogs. It’s a shame that a wonderful facility like this doesn’t have an amazing swim instructor to follow and I was informed she is the only teacher. However, the pool itself is very warm and clean so it might be better to rent out the space and teach your dog how to swim on your own time ☺️.
