𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲, our golden-haired, treat-loving, always-sniffing superstar! This sweet Golden Retriever has been lighting up Bark-A-Bout for the past three years with her playful spirit and endless curiosity.

 

𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲: Jovie’s name was inspired by the movie Elf, where Buddy’s golden-haired love interest seemed like the perfect match for this golden girl. From the moment she joined her family in December 2020, she’s been spreading joy—just like her namesake!

 

𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

Jovie is a true “golden receiver” who loves to grab a ball but prefers to be chased rather than return it! She’s a master of tug-of-war, a pro at basement zoomies with her dad, and a world-class snuggler on the couch. When she’s outside, she takes her time on walks, making sure to sniff every possible scent and greet every person like they’re her new best friend.

 

𝗧𝗼𝘆𝘀 & 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀:

Jovie is rarely seen without two Chuck-it Max Glow balls stuffed in her mouth. She loves shredding stuffed toys (the squeaker is the real prize!) and enjoys winding down with a good nylon bone chew. When it comes to food, she’s all about doggie ice cream, peanut butter, chicken, carrots, green beans, and berries.

 

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗿’𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 & 𝗕𝗔𝗕 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀:

Her Bark-A-Bout BFF is fellow Golden Retriever Kenzie Forkin—these two even have playdates outside of daycare! She also loves romping with her cousin Hazel and her tiny pug neighbor, Molly. At BAB, she enjoys enrichment sessions with Coach Jordan, sniffing every inch of the yard, and any activity that involves treats!

 

𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:

Jovie’s curiosity sometimes gets the best of her! She’s been “trapped” in a folding gate, stuck inside a newly fenced-off yard patch, and even locked in a spare bedroom—without making a peep! Her mom and dad frantically searched the neighborhood, only to find Jovie calmly watching them from the bedroom window!

𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲, Jovie starts her mornings snuggling with her dad, greets her mom with a pillow parade, and ends her nights in her cozy crate—her own little “cave” of privacy. She’s playful, loving, and full of personality, making her the perfect choice for March’s Bark of the Month! CONGRATS, Jovie! Way to be such a paw’some and loveable pup!
