CONGRATS, Reecie Thayer, Bark-A-Bout’s March, 2026 “Bark of the Month”!!
Please join us in celebrating our sweet, silly, and super-smart girl 𝗥𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, our newest 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵! 
Reecie has been part of the Bark-A-Bout family since 2021, joining our pack about five years ago, and she has been winning hearts ever since! From the moment she walks through our doors each morning, her excitement is contagious. Reecie absolutely loves greeting our front desk receptionists and is always ready to start her daycare adventure with the biggest tail-wagging enthusiasm.
When she’s in the play yard, Reecie enjoys a good game of Hide and Seek or Tug of War. But if there’s one thing we all know about Reecie… it’s her love of cheese. If we let her, she would happily eat all the cheese everywhere! 
Reecie’s heart is full of love for her 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗽𝗮, and she has a special bond with her furry bestie 𝗠𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀. Of course, she adores all of the handlers and staff at Bark-A-Bout, and the feeling is absolutely mutual. 
Reecie is also a proud graduate of three rounds of Bark-A-Bout’s Dog Training Program with Wendy MacKenzie, completing Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Training! Her dedication and enthusiasm for learning has always impressed us, and it shows in the wonderful manners and confidence she brings with her every day.
One of Reecie’s favorite parts of daycare is participating in our 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, especially anything involving Sniff & Scent activities. Reecie has an incredible nose and absolutely loves using it! Whether she’s searching through pools of tennis balls for hidden treats, choosing the correct scent during a “choose a hand” game, or sniffing out scent bags, she tackles every challenge like a little search-and-rescue pro.
Our Enrichment Coaches often say that Reecie is a total teacher’s pet. She loves learning new things and always jumps right in—sometimes literally! She’s confidently mastered enrichment activities like FitPaws discs, the Klimb platform, scent games, and even jumping through hoops like a circus star. Watching her confidence grow and seeing her eagerness to learn is such a joy for our team.
Reecie truly brings the perfect mix of enthusiasm, intelligence, and goofy charm to our pack. We are so grateful to have had the privilege of watching her grow, learn, and thrive over the past five years.
